The HELIX™ Fire Suppression System is a unique pre-engineered system designed to utilize electric detection and actuation interfaced with the STRIKE™ Electronic Control System (ECS). The STRIKE ECS fully supervises all system circuits, ensuring functionality, which includes constant monitoring of agent cylinder pressure. Because PCU fires require quick response, the HELIX system’s detection network is designed using continuous linear heat detection. The HELIX system’s configuration also minimizes nozzles, which effectively reduces the number of agent cylinders and distribution network components, making HELIX cost effective without compromising performance. The HELIX agent distribution network is easy to install outside the cramped interior space of a PCU, using cut-to-length hydraulic hose. This PCU system operates either automatically if actuated by a detector or manually if actuated by a pull station.
The Amerex “IS” system uses our exclusive ABC (Model 555) dry chemical. ABC dry chemical suppresses more fire, by volume, than any other agent.
